MPEG-DASH requirements
A product that prepares Dolby Digital Plus bitstream for online delivery via MPEG-DASH must meet certain requirements.
Mux-37
Ensures that each MP4 sample consists of one Dolby Digital Plus access unit. See Contents of the MP4 sample.
Mux-39
Uses the structure and values for the EC3SampleEntry
and
EC3SpecificBox
boxes, as defined in Annex F of ETSI TS 102
366.

Mux-40
When creating an .mp4 file with a Dolby Digital Plus track that contains Dolby Atmos content, uses the extended
structure and values for EC3SpecificBox
.
See Signaling Dolby Digital Plus bitstreams with Dolby Atmos content in an ISO base media format file.
Mux-41
When creating an encrypted MP4 file containing a
Dolby Digital Plus track, sets the box
header type value for the EC3SampleEntry
box to enca
.
See Signaling Dolby Digital Plus bitstreams in an encrypted MPEG-DASH compliant ISO base media file.
Mux-42
When creating an encrypted MP4 file, places the
protection scheme information (sinf
) box immediately after the EC3SpecificBox
box.

Mux-43
When creating an encrypted MP4 file, includes the
frma
, schm
, and schi
boxes in the sinf
box.

Mux-44
When creating an encrypted MP4 file, sets the frma
value to ec-3
for Dolby Digital Plus tracks.
