Identification of Dolby Digital Plus bitstream in an ISO base media file
The basic structures defined within ISO/IEC 14496-12 to identify audio tracks are used with specific extensions (defined in Annex F of ETSI TS 102 366) to provide detailed information on the characteristics of a Dolby Digital Plus stream.
The information is included in the stbl
box of the moov
box
of the ISO base media file. For a nonencrypted file, the information is contained in the
EC3SampleEntry
and the EC3SpecificBox
. The locations and
hierarchy of these boxes are listed in the table.
